Although this is not an enjoyable book, yet it offers an very interesting reading and an insight into the inhuman people who abuse the wildlife. The readers become aware of what Terry Spamer has gone through his quest to save animals and people like him still exist. In fact, everyone is aware about the abominable facts, but most of us turn a blind eye. In the book are presented legion of examples of animal abuse from around the world: birds, dogs, horses, monkeys, rhinos, leopards. The Spammer and others’ efforts (some as covert operations) to catch and prosecute the poachers and abusers are presented in detail. Amongst the stories of abuse, the book contains also some humorous recollections. I think many people would be shocked to know the extent of the way our animal life is abused. I am sincerely convinced “Animal spy - Animal Welfare Behind Enemy Lines” it is worth reading.
