Movements of Different Parts
Organs
Our body is made up of many organs. Eyes, ears, nose, skin, hands, legs, tongue, brain, heart, lungs and
kidneys are various organs.
Organs that lie inside our body are called internal organs. The heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, pancreas, intestine, stomach, etc. are some internal organs.
Organs that do not lie inside our body are called external organs. Eyes, ears, skin, nose, etc. are external organs.
More moving parts are in the body. Take care for good posture. These are the main points. This is for you’re for best health.
You have learnt that the movements of the different parts of the body are possible only because of muscles. That’s why it’s important to keep muscles in good shape.
While standing, we should keep our back starting, chin tucked in and chest out. We should keep our feet about 15 centimeters apart.
While sitting, we should keep our back starting against the back of the chair. We should keep our feet flat on the floor.
While sitting or standing, we should never bend, hunch or droop our shoulders.
While walking, we should through back our shoulders and hold our head high.
Practice correct ways of sitting and walking.
Different parts our body move. Movements of the different body parts help us to carry out different actions. Correct posture keeps muscles in good shape.
Movements of the internal organs
The movements of the internal organs make many important activities possible.
Heart muscles are called cardiac muscles. Cardiac muscles move by contorting and relaxing. These movements cause the pumping of the heart.
The heart pumps blood to different parts of the body. The pumping of the heart results in the heartbeat.
The movement of the lungs helps us to breathe in and breathe out.
Stomach muscles also move. The contraction and relaxation of the muscles in the stomach breaks down the food we eat into smaller particles in the stomach. This helps in digestion.
