See How They Run

Article Review by: Pens on Fire

Original Author: James Patterson
World War II really isn’t over yet. Not for the Jews who survived the concentration camps forty years before. Now, in 1980,
the son of one of the founding members of the Jewish terrorist group that is going to take revenge for all of the anti-Semitism the world has sustained, is going to find out exactly how deep the hatred really runs.
Dr. David Strauss sees his grandmother, and wife, murdered by the same people he called friends just a few days prior and now must hunt down and kill those same people in order to secure the peace of the world from the hands of radicals. The plot is riveting—something that will really keep you on the edge of your seat—and so tight that you have to gasp for air. It almost seems real. James Patterson really puts you right in David Strauss’s shoes until the very end of the story.
With the aid of the F.B.I., David Strauss must travel across Europe in order to track down the remaining members of the group that killed his family. Were they Nazis or were they Jews? The more and more David Strauss finds out the more and more the deadly plan that the terrorists are going to carry out becomes more dangerous. He can’t trust anyone anymore, and neither can you!
The best thing about See How They Run is that it puts you on a side with what you believe going into the book, but the deeper into the book you get, the more you have to think about the consequences of the actions of the people involved…and whether or not you still see things from the same light. Unlike many of the other fast paced suspense thrillers on the market, this one really makes you think outside of the book itself and on the deeper philosophical aspects of the World as it is.
