This paper starts with a background of the Jazz Age which F. Scott Fitzgerald was a part of, and looks at how Fitzgerald's
personal
experience was reflected in his work. It maintains that Fitzgerald's
ability to adhere to two different perspectives was one of his distinguishing marks as a writer, as well as his ability to create three-dimensional characters and write about the American experience that has withstood the test of time.
