This paper attempts to analyze the concept of
truth and the meaning of life by examining the characters in Gabriel Garcia
Marquez's novel - One Hundred Years of Solitude. It shows how the main character sacrificed all he had in the search of
truth and knowledge and this theme is central throughout the entire story.
