Orwell's "1984"

Book Summary by: AcaDemon

This paper explains that in George Orwell "1984", the government controls every aspect of human behavior by controlling both
internal and external memories and by erasing truth. The author points out that most societies have built-in mechanisms to protect themselves; but in the world of "1984", this self-protection was carried to the extreme. The paper concludes that as modern technology gets more sophisticated, it may become harder to determine what actually happened at a given event, or what were the real details of a controversial incident --- thus erasing memory and truth.
