This paper will examine George Orwells'
novel "1984" and describe how it reflects London during World War Two. By analyzing
the elements within the book that reveal this harsh way of
life for the British in the nineteen forties, we can see how Orwell was inspired to use it as a model for this tale. The main ways of life will be described in conjunction with the
novel analysis that Orwell brings to life in his book.
