NIck Carraway

Book Review by: AcaDemon

This paper examines how Nick Carraway serves both as a narrator and a character in "The Great Gatsby" who by end of the story
has discovered the moral bankruptcy of his erstwhile friends and has failed to achieve the financial success he desired. It looks at how Nick's failure allows Fitzgerald to express his own disillusionment with the 1920s version of the American Dream and to depict the emptiness of the upper classes of that time.
