This paper analyzes and compares two
poems from the Elizabethan Renaissance: Andrew Marvell's "To His Coy Mistress" and William
Shakespeare's "Sonnet 116". The
author studies the similarities in theme between the two
poems -- that love is invaluable and must be seized. The author asks and answers whether love is worth pursuing immediately if its attributes are truly ageless?
