This paper is based on John Milton's "Paradise Lost" and focuses on the idea that the first
woman, Eve, is to blame for
mankind's
loss of perfection. A number of arguments are made against this concept, and secondary sources are used to support this argument. It concludes that Adam never actually left Eve, but was, instead, standing right beside her during the very time that Satan was making the fatal offer.
