Comporting Roadwise is the
autobiography of Rom Tom. Rom Tom is a man best described as a loving and devoted father and husband; an eternal optimist and steadfast dreamer; and a humanist with unceasing resilience. Above all though, Rom Tom is a person like any other trying to earn a living and make a future for his family. The reason behind this
book is both unique and incredibly touching. The author did not write this book to brag about his accomplishments or preach about his political views. Instead, the author simply writes this story to relay his life and love to his
children, the children he lost to the children''s welfare system. This work of art is filled with the raw
emotions love, frustration, hope, guilt, joy, and anguish. The author shares his experiences about the time he and his wife shared with their children as well as those
events on the horrible days that followed. None of this experience is sugar coated or made to suit political correctness. Furthermore, the author does not attempt to divert blame for his part in these events. Simply put, he wants his children to know the whole story, the real story even if it isn''t pretty. Despite that this book was written for the author''s children, any
reader will gain new insight into him or herself and into our society in general as this book illustrates the best and worst of ourselves as humans. The reader should be aware, however, that his or her emotions will be taken on a roller coaster of ups and downs as the story progresses.
