It was late morning when Tatiana smelled somthing good in her sleep. "Pancakes!" she yelled. She quickly got up and ran to
the kitchen were she saw her dad making bluebarry pankakes. She sat down and
waited patiently for her breakfast. "Are they done yet?" she
asked "No, not yet." said her father. "What about now?" she asked again. Her father laughed. "Yes, now they are." Her father gave her breakfast and kissed her on the head. "Thank you daddy." she smiled but noticed that somthing wasnt qiute right. She lokked around. "Syrup!" she yelled out. She turned around to ask her dad but he was gone and she just hade to have it. She climed up the counter beside the oven and grabbed the syrup but accidentally put her paw on the hot burner. She screamed and fell to the floor. Her father ran into the kitchen. "Tatiana what's wrong?" "My paw my paw!" she yelled, "It burns!" Her father put her paw under cold running water. "What happened Tatiana?" he asked. She told him, she told him the truth. Her father sighed. "Do we know what happens when we climed were we're not suppose to.He said "Yes, we get hurt even when we tell ourselves that we wont." Her father gently kissed her on the paw. "That's right." he said. her father wrapped bandages around her paw to make it feel better. She finished her breakfast and then went outside to play with her friends. While she was walking down the street she saw her friend Bailey the bunny. "What happened to your paw?" Bailey asked. "I burned it by accident." Bailey took a closer look at it. "Does it hurt?" Tatiana picked at it. "Kind of." she said "Well come on everone is waiting for use at the park." Tatiana and Bailey raced to the park were they met up with Anna the frog, Gabe the bear, Melody the raccoon, Tawnee the snake and raven the fish who watched then from the pond. Everone asked Tatiana about her paw and she explained it again. "How are you going to play baseball?" Anna asked. "I dont know." Tatiana thought for a moment. "I guess ill watch your guys from the pond." Tatiana was sad that she couldent play but didnt want to ruin the game for anybody. She sat there with Raven bored and hungry. They were done there game and know wanted to go bike riding but Tatiana coulden't with that big bandage wrapped around her paw. So she sat some more and waited and waited and waited until they came back. They finally did and they brought food and a board game too. "We felt bad for leaving you Tatiana." Gabe said, "So we brought some games and food." Tatiana was happy but didn't fell like playing anything. "I think ill go home." she said and left. When she got home her mother and father were waiting for her in the kitchen. Her mother picked her up and said "Did we learn anything today?" Tatiana nodded her head. "When we do somthing that were not suppose to, we get hurt and we cant play with are friends because are ouches get in the way." Her mother giggled. "Ya somthing along those lines." she said.
