villains in two Brothers' Grimm fairy tales ("Hansel and Gretel" and "Snow White") and a Vietnamese tale whose plot resembles Cinderella. Gives some reasoning behind the use of stepmothers and stepsisters as villains andd explains the dynamics of age and physical attractiveness in the murderous jealousy displayed by these "wicked women."
