In honor of my childhood I am currently drafting up a story for
children. It will be in the local language. I dreamed the characters up one
day!
Aruba has a combination of rugged
and pristine landscapes hugging its domain. On one side there are the
rock formations
and the volcanic shore lines, mostly known for body boarding and visiting
unusual ponderous rock mounds. On the other there are the beaches, with their
palm trees and touristic attractions.
It is in the
first area, where I grew up. Running on red earth decorated with cacti and
diverse shrubs. Free goats and donkeys roamed the place at times, but mainly
the silence prevailed, and it is in this
area where I set the first of the
different series of the
adventures of a curious little girl... or is she a
girl?
I'm having a
lot of fun writing it because I can relive my own adventures in that scenery.
