Things Don’t Happen is a fast paced story with some very clever dialogue. I love that the main character, KC, states her confusion at how these things could actually be happening to her, a very normal person. “That kind of thing only happens in novels and movies.” This questioning aspect of the main character not only adds a bit of humour to the situation but also lends an extra aspect of realism into the storyline.
