Angel Waters knows almost nothing about his real family. His father died in a car accident three months before his birth. His mother committed suicide soon afterwards. The only family Angel
really ever knew was his
foster parents, the Darwins. The Darwins were incredibly strict Christians who home schooled Angel until high
school and felt that
rock and roll
music was evil. When Angel started attending public high school, he was extremely ill prepared. The only subject he actually thrived in was music class where he was a natural musician and singer. In fact, Angel was so good that he was encouraged to start a
band, a Christian Rock band. The Songs of Galileo: Voice of God contains of really interesting facets. The
book explores the influence of Angel''s foster parents extreme beliefs on the boy while delving into the world of rock music, schizophrenia, and various belief systems. I am quite interested in where book two of this series will take Angel and his story.
