Wearing the Spider AUTHOR:
Susan Schaab Imagine your identity has been stolen and is now embroiled in illegal and immoral activity and you cannot do one thing to stop it. This is the situation our heroine, Evie Sullivan finds herself in. Evie is a young upcoming lawyer with a high profile New York
law firm. She is ambitious, conscientious and ethical but one of her law partners is out to frame her. After refusing his sexual advances, Evie now realizes she has an enemy in Alan Levenger. Alan is clever and will stop at nothing to cover his tracks and place sole blame on Evie. Multimillions of dollars are at stake and he is ruthless. Frustrated, Evie and her new beau, Joe attempt to discover how her name keeps appearing on
legal documents, emails and expense reports without her knowledge. When she realizes she is being followed and a mysterious Latin woman is found dead, the FBI is called in and the action heats up.
Imaginative, suspenseful and well thought out, Wearing the Spider is a mystery thriller that readers will find hard to put down. This reviewer was overwhelmed with the legal jargon at times, but still found the story intriguing enough to continue. The characters are vulnerable yet determined, appealing to readers empathy. Political corruption and media madness add to mix.
Author, Susan Schaab uses her expertise in both intellectual property and technical law and computer system design to produce a believable, accurate story line.
