This paper examines how several relationships develop and change throughout "Twelfth Night" and how the bond between Viola and Orsino is extremely important to the
plot. It looks at how during the
play their association takes many forms from being strangers, acquaintances and friends, to allies, enemies, and finally lovers. It also shows how the triangle established among these two and Olivia establishes the foundation for the plot and dramatic tension in the play.
