The author defines The Ranger’s Tale: Echoes of a Life Lived as a concept work about the memoirs of John Desmond Locke, who defends the Mid-North Union against pirate onslaughts and the corruptive schemes of political masterminds, whilst pursuing his romantic intrigues. These reflections are in the form of various
pieces of
poetry written about Locke’s experiences as a Ranger and as a poet. The thing I enjoyed most about The Ranger’s Tale: Echoes of a Life Lived was that it shares
history in an entirely different way. Not only is the poetic tale format more readable that normal historic accounts but the wording, tone, and voice of these pieces also allows the reader a deeper view into the attitudes, moral, and feelings of the era.
