Irving, Hawthorne, Poe: Amazing Writers

Book Review by: AcaDemon

This paper provides an analysis of the works of three great poets - Irving, Hawthorn and Poe. It compares their individual
styles and attitudes to the society in which they lived. It also looks at cultural influences on their poetry. From the paper: "Before we had television and radio entertainment, before there were big screen theatres and discotheques people had to find their own alternative form and sources of self-expression and entertainment. No matter what in what era a person lived they've always wanted a form of entertainment and will always; people will also always want at least a small way to bring what they as an individual have to society. Art has been around since the dawn of time and will always be here because every person alive has the freedom of presenting him or herself in anyway they want. Although there are some natural born leaders and some followers almost everyone has at least a touch of individualism. Writing is a timeless and time-honored form of self-expression."
