This paper is explication of William Blake's
poem, "London," and explains what each line means in the different contexts. "London" is Blake's journey through the streets of London as he wanders aimlessly observing the people of the city. It examines the use of the word 'chartered' in the first stanza and continues to analyze William Blake's feelings about London throughout the poem.
