All That Glitters is the
story of Tom Marr. Tom''s life was just about perfect. Tom had been the star quarterback in high school, had gotten a full scholarship to Notre Dame, and now he was engaged to Darcy Sutherland. For years, he had chased Darcy and now the heiress to Sutherland''s Plastics had finally agreed to be his wife. Moreover, his in-laws-to-be had provided some wonderful career opportunities for the newest member of their
family. Then, a tragedy occurred. Darcy''s estranged brother Kevin died,
living a widow and two young sons. Kevin had been the star of the Sutherland family until a hussy named Julie trapped Kevin into marrying her and start living in squalor. Tom was given the job to pay off the tramp and rid the Sutherland family of her presence forever. Strangely though, Julie didn''t seem like she was after the Sutherland''s money. All That Glitters is a modern heartwarming
romance. Unlike most other romance stories, the
book is written from the male perspective. This is both refreshing and intriguing. Moreover, the story line is full of complexity and uncertainty that draw the reader into the family gossip and politics. Furthermore, who can resist hoping that the spoiled brat and the evil mother-in-law get what is coming to them.
