Promises, Promises is the story of two brothers, their lives, tragedies, and loves. At age five, the older brother, Micah, discovers that his abusive stepmother Isobelle is having an affair with the chauffeur. Subsequently, Micah’s father Anthony learns of Isobelle’s betrayal and her abuse to his only son and sent the woman away. Unbeknownst to Micah or Anthony, Isobelle is pregnant with Anthony’s
second son. This second son is raised by parents
crazed and embittered with rage at Anthony and Micah. After Isobelle’s death, when the boy was five, the second son is drawn into a plan to
destroy Anthony and Micah by his crazed stepfather. As an adult, this second son is finally in the position to put his scheme into action. Micah and Anthony have no clue who is trying to destroy them or why. Promises, Promises has several stories within the
main story. Each of the characters has his or her own story that interconnects to the main storyline. This aspect creates a very vital, multi-dimensional story that draws the reader both into the story and into the psyche of each character. Furthermore, the author also adds some very interesting twists and turns that add a little
romance,
mystery, intrigue, and spice into the mix. This is a very well written, entertaining
book.
