Margaret does not remember a time when she was truly happy. She has had a deep feeling of sadness most of her
life but there seems to be no reason for it. Now she is a college math instructor, an introvert feeling forced to attend bank social functions with Roger. Suddenly a voice out of nowhere shouts at her and her life is in for a change. No one else can hear this voice. Is she mentally ill or does she have her own personal ghost? Zeke is, indeed, a very real ghost, sometimes absolutely charming and at other times, egotistical, but with his help, she
finds the light and happiness she has missed all of her life. She also finds a whole
new family in his children, as they try to accept and learn from her relationship with their dead father. In return for his help, she must share his sometimes sordid past as he tries to come to terms with
events from his life.
This well written romance by author Eleanor Roth, highlights the paranormal events experienced by her main character, Margaret, and makes each event so real, that at one moment the reader will
love Zeke and the very next emotion evoked will be hate. Events and characters intertwine to tell a love story that is bursting with secrets and misunderstandings but love will prevail, in a most surprising way. This is an enjoyable novel and I look forward to more from Eleanor Roth.
