The Dark Knight of Lancashire

Book Review by: Dr_Tami_Brady

Original Author: P.J. Kerti
Times of late have been quite trying for Deborah McMasters. She and her family were living quite happily in America. Deborah
loved America. Unfortunately, such times were to quickly change with the war and the death of her father. Despite a huge battle or wills, Deborah, her mother, and her siblings were forced to return to Britain to stay in the care of Deborah’s uncle. Deborah’s uncle is a good man but does not understand Deborah’s love of America. This is ever apparent when he starts to encourage suitors for the young girl. Everyone seems to want Deborah to marry Captain Hammal, a fine gentleman soldier who loves to recite poetry. The captain may make a good husband but Deborah has her eye on someone else, a stranger who calls himself the Dark Knight. The Dark Knight of Lancashire is a classic historical romance story of the best kind. A strong woman looking for a love that appreciates that quality. A love that cannot possibly happen. There is even a bit of suspense and clever behind the scenes goings on.
