Aliens and AIs is a compilation of seven short
stories about
Aliens, artificial intelligence, and their interactions with humans. Each of these stories are completely self contained, using different characters and themes. These
entertaining and often hilariously ludicrous stories range from the thoughtful Retro-
Virus (where AIs suddenly think they are historical figures due to a computer virus) though the creatively quirky humour of The Matter at Hand (where the main character plays an alien game called Matter to determine the fate of his business) to the ludicrous, almost nauseating Euphemism
Skin (where aliens want to clone human skin for snacks). Aliens and AIs is entertaining and funny. Each of the stories in this compilation focuses on one central idea or punch line with
unique characters, wit, and creativity to dress the story up. As is this collection of stories short but completely entertaining. Also as is, the different stories flow well from one to the next, keeping the reader ready for the next witty remark, thoughtful idea, or creative situation. However, each of these stories would make a great extended story or perhaps even a full
book or series of books building on these potential strong and very unique characters.
