This paper provides the discussion on the methodology questions concerning folk handicraft pottery art and culture's research
through the study of Jingdezhen private commercial kilns,and puts forward the concept of “
porcelain cultural series”.“porcelain cultural series”is involved in every aspect of potter's life,including the details of clothing,food,shelter and fransportation,that is ,basic necessities of life.They can be compared to the blueprint of potter's life.It also means that potters developed a set of related
technology and cultural arts in certain natural environ ment and historical surroundings.It is just his related technology and cultural arts that decided their group structure and moving mode.At the same time,it decides their aesthetic standards and views towards everything as well as their motivation to the development of cultural arts.The author hopes to extend her investigation into the main aspects of human activities,such as material civilization,ethical and cultural progress,social structure and so on.
