Dr. Deming's
philosophy is outlined in his "
Fourteen Points," and calls for "a fundamental change in how organizations are
viewed by the people who manage them and by those who work in them" (Gitlow, 1987). This paper summarizes and analyzes these fourteen points and concludes with the observation that Dr. Deming's
philosophy does not target a specific area of
business. If implemented, it will be extremely beneficial to any organization, institution, or business that has growth, prosperity, and customer satisfaction as its goal.
