Malaria is transmitted to a human by the bite of an infected female Anopheles mosquito. The mosquito becomes infected by ingesting the blood of an infected human. Of the 1.8 billion persons at risk of malaria worldwide, there are an estimated 500 million clinical cases and nearly 3.5 million deaths each year. It is therefore one of the most important infectious diseases in the world. There is no vaccine for malaria. But if one take care of themselves one can easily save themselves
from Malaria.The best way to prevent catching Malaria is not to get bitten in the first place. - Wear long sleeves and trousers at night, preferably not of too thin material.- Use some kind of repellant. You can also use Lemon grass and lavender oils. It works well or you can go chemical if the mosquitoes are really heavy.- Hang a mosquito net over your bed at night which help not to get bitten by mosquitos.- Burn mosquito coils around your room though these too are pretty toxic but safe.- Don’t leave the windows open with the light on otherwise mosquitos will come in.It is very true that Prevention is better than Cure. Keep yourself and your
house as well as your surrounding clean and dry.
