The strategy of the project is to develop
dissemination materials that reflect current knowledge of best practices for the
organic production of various
crops in different parts of the country, including production of organic inputs and certification processes. The
training will be provided to the extension staff, development personnel as well as farmers.
The project will achieve the following outputs:

middot; Protocols or packages of practices for organic production of various crops developed and disseminated. This material will be collected, compiled, reviewed and turned into dissemination material in English, Hindi and other local languages, and used in a limited number of pilot training sessions funded by the project.
· Material on the production of organic inputs, both at the farm level and on a commercial basis available and disseminated.
· Cost’s and benefits of different organic certification options complied and analysed. Factors will be identified from experience that would indicate when it may or may not be profitable. Training and dissemination material available.
· Promotional
aspects of organic agriculture analysed, both at the production levels (with aspects such as availability of credit for farming) as well as marketing aspects of the feasibility of launching a domestic market
Promotion campaign for organic produce. If possible, it will be done with an added emphasis on highly nutritious traditional or neglected crops
