This paper examines how nicotine is a complex drug which can cause many positive effects in the body, such as reducing anxiety
and depression and increasing cognition. It also has promising medical uses, such as preventing Alzheimer's disease. It also looks at how nicotine is considered a poison and how it causes high blood pressure, respiratory distress, gastrointestinal distress, and can even cause death by overdose. Furthermore, nicotine is an addictive drug with and its effects on some systems vary from person to person.
