The Three Gorges Dam
project, if completed, would be the biggest
construction in the history of the world. The project will
be the largest hydropower station and dam. There is a growing concern both domestically and internationally about the human rights violations associated with the displacement of people. This paper discusses why the
construction of the Three Gorges Dam is a mistake and gives possible solutions in its stead.
