The first artificial intelligence programs primarily were simply capable of handling a series speeded up computations of
the "if-then" and "yes-no" process. With the development of
systems which work much more like the matrix of the synapses in the brain and thus can make complex inter-relational choices, however, the functions which these systems can fill are quickly increasing.
