This paper examines two distinct inventions:
light bulbs and solar energy. First it discusses the
incandescent light bulb
and its inventor, Thomas Alva Edison, and explore the differences between
incandescent and fluorescent light
bulbs. Then the long history and increasing importance of solar power and its modern applications are discussed.
