Chemical control in
management of the stored product pest in China will continue to play an indispensable role, the technology
must be used widely and well and this can only be done with a complete understanding of the factors affecting their use and effectiveness. As we are aware that the economic and ecologic information or methodology available to enable assessment of cost and environmental benefits of the technique. The models of economic injuring level(EIL) and economic threshold (ET) are indispensible to provide the data necessary for rational planning of stored product pest control operations. Moreover ,synthetic control or integrated pest
management (IPM) will be developed in the foreseeable future, alternative
technologies for stored product pest control have been described elsewhere in seminars and conferences, most offer considerable promise but involve capital input which may be quite substantial,as chemical and non-chemical techniques as well as optimal management in storage processes, choices have to be made as to which technologies,if any or all,are to be integrated into the storage and handling system.
