Books were sold throughout the globe with its various forms. Among the variation, each category and the sub-category have its twin and triplet. Choices - some might preferred that way. Yet, when one had been given too many options, it set out confusion.
When there are books, there are
writers. One evening, I found my journal; my very dear friend who had been loyal and willing to spend its time listening to my cried. I turned the thick book around and discovered a small column with its writing, " Journeys ". For three years, I hadn't realized this beautiful word, when now I recited it over and over my mind, it kept me going toward the journey of my writing.
Journeys are every writer's pen which leads into the story realms. He does not stop over the other's words of effect. He knows what he has to achieve, and certainly understand every word he uses is right. I believe this isn't the first article on writing. Yet, giving another opinion toward those who had the desire to become a writer shouldn't be another crime. I certainly hope that my fellow readers won't hesitate to stop by and read till the very end. Your precious time is very much be appreciated.
Over the past articles I've read, yes, they were mostly helpful. But some part of them didn't give much of what the others were intended to hear; which I'm saying, most of the advice were solely based upon their interests.
When it comes to writing, a writer should speak based upon his general view. Always put the reader's thoughts as pioneer of one's writing. Writing needs hard-work, despite of reading and writing, or having the concept of practice makes perfect; observation is required. That is, of course, a writer might as well add upon his style and idea to make an interesting work.
Let me clarify. I am not intending that writers should do what the readers ask. The world we are living in now is the kind which contains people with curiosity and would always ask for certain something. A writer might write whatever he wishes, but always know how to capture a reader's heart.
Be observant. Be unique. Show your talent. Rules are necessary but within the boundary of itself.
You are your own rules. There are articles which talked about rules on writing. Rules are man-made, in my opinion, and nonetheless, they are still made by the writers themselves.
I've read about quitting when one couldn't write at his first attempt. I wasn't sure if I should believe on that. I wouldn't know if I had failed on my first attempt on writing, but I'm writing still even though at times, obstacles never stopped growing. It doesn't matter on any circumstances, 'quit' shouldn't be available on any business. Of course, no one shall deny that say is easier than do; but efforts should show within one's comfort zone.
Always have faith in you.
Writing is joy. It is a one ticket to the destination of the heart; one desire of reaching the realm where only the mind could reach. Never force to put words over the paper when the mind is rejecting for any thoughts and ideas. This is not the way a writer should be. If it happens, always do what the other had suggested; breathe in the fresh air, go for a walk, or go to the coffee shop nearby to give the soul a good treat. Do not intend to read. Why not just consider this as a break for the mind?
You are not a machine that could work 24/7.
Sharing thoughts and suggestions is one of the greatest joys among the writers; because in both ways,
we are the readers and the writers. Some might not be interested in this idea, but, always keep in mind that every human is born to learn, grow, and share. If a writer ever thought that he couldn't accept any cruel comments from the readers and writers, here's the trick: Be your own critique. Read with the readers' eyes.
Judge your works before the other should. Self-publish has become a great interest for the independent writers, who carried
confidence and trust over their works.
Confidence seems to be one problem on every human. At the same time, it is a need to survive. On writing, before a writer is published, he needs to know if he is brave enough to face the world full of possibilities and impossibilities. There are quite a number of new authors had been rejected upon their manuscripts due to some unnecessary or unrealistic lines. Some might find it hard to accept.
I realized that taking writing course is
a way of searching for a proper guidance. It is also a good way to find the real confidence within oneself. Guidance shall seek for the better thread to lead through the journey into the land of writing.
Remember, writing is joy. It shall be only words on paper but a great help and guiding hands towards others who needed a voice to be heard.
