Egg contains the germinal entity with stored food for the embryo’s growth and development enclosed inside a membrane or shell. There is more in egg than just meet the taste buds. Aside from the food value that one derives from egg, the same eatable also gives amusement to us. In the Philippines, we use eggs to amuse or entertain us in a sport called egg
wrestling. This sport is popular in some villages or localities here where two individuals participate in it. During the contest, the two square off against each other with eggs. The contestants touch the eggs carefully together. Then they press hard so that one of the eggs breaks and one declared the winner. In egg wrestling, some tricksters have appeared, too. These
cheaters boil their eggs slightly to harden the protein inside. In one instance, a player has made his egg seemly unbeatable. He drained the sticky content through a small hole and then refilled it with liquid wax that became hard after a short while. Just like other sports, cheaters once caught are banished from this pastime.
