This paper explores several themes found in H.G. Well's novel, "The Island of Dr. Moreau." Some of the ideas put detailed by Wells in the book include, what would constitute the

artificial" and "natural man." The author also looks at when the book was written, and how the Darwinism influenced Well's thoughts when he was
writing the book.
