This paper will discuss the nature of the civil
rights movement in the United States from the perspective of the book "Beloved" by Toni Morrison. By revealing how the author sees this era, we can see how it would be influenced by her own style of
writing. The aim of this study will be to see how the events she describes in her time period, to the present times in the struggle for equal rights in black culture in America.
