This paper is an examination of the
science and story, "Flowers for Algernon", and the movie adaptation, "Charly". The paper
observes that the nature of the
science employed in Charly's
treatment was immoral, unethical, and resulted in an enormous tragedy, which left Charly worse off than he was before the treatment.
