This
paper deals with the issues of racism, morals, and religious values, as presented in Mark Twain's "The Adventures of
Huckleberry Finn". In contrast to many of Twain's critics, who believe that Twain was a racist and find his writings insulting to African Americans, this
paper argues that Twain was actually opposed to the way African Americans were treated and wrote in a way that accurately demonstrated the ugliness of that treatment.
