This paper compares and contrasts the O.J. Simpson trial, where former football star, O.J. Simpson, was
accused of
murdering
his wife and then found innocent of the
charges, and the Scott Petersen trial, where Petersen was accused of
murdering his wife and unborn child and subsequently found guilty of the charges. The paper analyzes the two trials, looks at why the verdicts of the two juries were different, and describes what the author of the paper believes to be weaknesses in the U.S. judicial system.
