female street gangs, "8 Ball Chicks". The paper contends that
Sikes provides in-depth details of the lives of such female youths in Los Angeles, San Antonio, and Milwaukee. She clearly shows how the victimization of these girls through rapes, physical/mental abuse, and neglect does not condone this deviant behavior, but explains it.
