This paper argues that, ever since September 11th, the United States' media has aided the government's effort to direct the
public's attention away from important questions concerning native terrorism and the administration's failure to prevent the terrorist
attacks on the United States, despite the information it had on these attacks, by focusing attention on Afghanistan and Iraq as threats to the United States security.
