This paper discusses the controversial issue of
censorship. The paper presents the opinions of the proponents and opponents
of this practice. Government-controlled
censorship of the media is examined and contrasted with
parental or guardian control. The paper contends that parental controls on television and the Internet are a big step in the right direction. Similar and more expansive controls need to be implemented to make the censorship of material in the United States both just and moral.
