In order to better understand the issue of solar
energy, this
paper presents a definition of the terms and concepts relating
to solar
energy. The
paper examines the technologies that are currently used to put solar energy to work. A short historical background on the development of solar technology in the past sixty years is presented. The paper explores the reasons why it is important to develop solar energy and discusses its future costs and benefits.
