Have you ever tried selling your car and experienced some body language from your
car that it does not want to be sold?
It happened to me. I was trying to sell our family''s 10 year old Sport Utility Vehicle when the following happened;
The first buyer was feeling comfortable with the ride. When he requested to test drive it
by his lonesomeself, he cannot seem to open the driver''s door and
when he tried putting some pressure on the handle to open it, the
door handle broke. The would be buyer said he will just call
later, which meant, sorry I wont buy your car-I might not get out of it
alive.
For the second and last would be buyer, I didn''t go for the
third, I was driving the vehicle and the
would be buyer was already asking me if I will accept a
check as payment, when just as
suddenly I heard the
words "will I accept a check as
payment", a stack of smoke rose from the vehicle''s
hood, that I suddenly put on the brakes , got out of the
vehicle together with the shaken buyer. When I opened
the hood, smoke was seeping out of the
radiator''s
plastic water container where a gurgle of boiling water can be
heard. It was now I who told the ashen faced would be buyer
that I will just call him later after I can have this
problem fixed, which meant dont worry, I wont sell to you
this vehicle anymore, as I am pissed off with what happened.
For the first buyer, the breaking off of the door handle, I
can explain. Maybe, due to old age. Ten years, since I
bought it. But the timing I cannot understand.
For the second buyer, it gives me something to worry about. The
mechanic found out that the fan terminal connection of the aircon
unit was inverted, thus sucking out air from the cooling system of the
radiator insted of sucking in air. What escapes me is, if
who would have inverted it, when, and why.
Until now, we are at a loss for an explanation, which make us think that maybe, our
vehicle just do not want to be sold.
