This is the strong force of all forces, overcoming every subtle and penetrating every solid thing. So the world was created. Hence were all wonderful adaptations, of which this is the manner.
Therefore amd I called Hermes Trismegistus, having the three parts of the philosophy of the whole world. What I have to tell is completed, concerning the operation of the Sun.

Every living thing on earth, physically speaking, has adapted the power of the sun in some way. Obviously,
plants use chlorophyll to create energy from the sun, the air, the water, and the minerals of the earth. So you can say the Sun is life's father, the moon or the water is its mother, the wind carries oxygen to it and carries away carbon dioxide, and the earth is the nursery for this form of life.
Human beings
eat plants, and the animals that eat the plants, and we also get nutrition from the sun and the water and the earth itself. Our digestive system separates nutrients from waste and we assimilate the best of what we eat. We are agents of growth.
The physical sun above us is like the spiritual sun above our souls.
We are born to learn how to be honest and loving toward each other, and to be of help to the world. We are also born with selfish tendencies and it is our task to learn how to stop it, as our desires naturally conflict with other people's and with the
greater good of our fellows.
The best part of the message of the Emerald Tablet is that when we separate our finest behaviors from those which create waste and chaos, we are given the powers of the superior. A person who has succeeded in refining the nature of their being has greater insight into problems in life and greater ability to resist lower impulses.
The Emerald Tablet is the key to all human development, and it has been known from ancient times. The crux of the matter is, humanity is made of crude stuff and it's not easy to evolve as a species, but many people believe this is happening. It can happen faster or more slowly, according to our aspirations.
Each moment we live and assimilate, based on thoughts and choices as much as on the quality of the food we can and do choose to eat.
