In this paper, the writer states that caricaturist, William Hogarth was able to achieve with his prints and caricatures,
what his contemporaries strive to attain through their writings and poems. It looks at how his
political agenda was served through his cartoons and engravings, as they depicted a very real picture of the life and society in the 18th century. It looks at how his work influenced Fielding's writings - also filled with a political agenda.
