An examination and comparison of the technological
advances and special
effects which have enabled directors to retell stories
with much more emphasis on the relationship between
visuals and characters. The paper looks at how it is also evident that these
advances have helped in how well visuals and effects play a part in the overall telling of the story and plot development - focusing on the four science fiction movies above.
